BIOGRAPHY

I received the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University. From April 1998 to March 2000, I was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Institute of Computer Science and Technology, Founder Research and Design Center, Peking University. Since April 2000, I have been with the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Now I am a Professor and a Ph. D. Student Supervisor in the laboratory. My research interests cover visual surveillance, object detection, tracking, motion activity understanding, visual action recognition, image and video security, image classification, and video retrieval, etc. I have published more than 270 papers in international journals and international conferences. The papers obtain 29963 citations. My h-index is 72. My i10-index is 297.
